Checkup When you have a minute: 2 things to book — Rex's rabies vaccine and the Subaru's oil change.

How it works

Set it up once. Then mostly forget about it.

  1. Add your household

People, pets, home, vehicles — whoever you keep track of. It takes about a minute, and you don't even need an account to start.

  2. Checkup keeps the schedule

It knows how often things come due — physicals yearly, rabies every three years, furnace service each fall — and starts sensible defaults you can change or turn off, item by item.

  3. One calm nudge when it's time

When something comes due, you get a single quiet reminder — not a barrage. Snooze it, slow it down, or mark it booked in a tap.

What it covers

Everything with a "due again" date.

Your people

  • Annual physicals
  • Dental cleanings
  • Eye exams
  • Vaccines & screenings

Every default is a suggestion — your doctor's advice wins.

Your pets

  • Wellness exams
  • Rabies & boosters
  • Parasite prevention
  • Dental care

Scan a vaccine record instead of typing the dates in.

Your home

  • Furnace & HVAC service
  • Smoke detector batteries
  • Gutters & chimney
  • Water heater

Renters only see what's theirs — the landlord's furnace isn't your problem.

Your vehicles

  • Oil changes
  • Tire rotation
  • Registration & inspection
  • EV battery checks

EV-aware: your electric car will never be nagged about oil.

Calm by design

A reminder app that doesn't need reminders about manners.

Beyond reminders

The booking part is the part everyone dreads. We'll do it.

We can make the call for you

For vets, home services, and auto shops, ask Checkup to book it. A real person phones the provider, finds a time inside the free windows you picked, and you watch progress in the app — like tracking a pizza.

When it's booked, the reminder flips to scheduled on its own and a calendar invite lands in your inbox.

Scan, don't type

Photograph your pet's vaccine record and Checkup reads the visits, shots, and due-again dates for you. You review every line before anything is saved — fix a date, skip a row — and the photo itself is never stored.

Privacy

Built the way we'd want it for our own family.

Your calendar never leaves your phone. When Checkup suggests appointment times, it checks your free/busy right on the device — no cloud calendar access, no account linking. Only the time windows you choose are ever sent to us.

No ads, no data sales, no third-party analytics. Checkup stores what you type in so it can remind you about it — that's the whole business. The details are in our privacy policy, written to be actually readable.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they trust a reminder app.

Is Checkup free?

Yes. There's no card to enter and no trial that runs out. Everything on this page — reminders, family sharing, record scanning, booking help — is included.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. You can set up your whole household and get reminders without ever signing in. When you do want an account — Apple, Google, or a one-time code by email or phone — everything you've already added comes with you.

An account is what lets your household follow you to a new phone and lets you share it with family.

Is this medical advice?

No. Checkup's default schedules come from general public-health guidance — a yearly physical, a dental cleaning every six months, rabies every three years. They are starting points, not prescriptions. If your doctor, dentist, or vet says something different, change the cadence to match or turn the item off. Your clinician's advice always wins.

How often will it bug me?

Rarely, on purpose. Everything due across your household arrives as one digest, not a message per item. Each reminder repeats about monthly by default, and you can snooze it, slow it down, or switch it off from the reminder itself. Quiet hours keep everything silent overnight or whenever you choose.

What can I keep track of?

People, pets, your home, and your vehicles. Each comes with a catalog of the usual things — physicals and cleanings, vaccines and parasite prevention, furnace service and smoke-detector batteries, oil changes and registration — and you can add your own custom reminder for anything with a "due again" date. Checkup is also careful about what it doesn't suggest: renters aren't nagged about the landlord's furnace, and an electric car never hears about oil.

Can I share it with my partner or family?

Two ways. Invite someone with a short code and you'll both see and manage the same household — kids, pets, home, all of it. Or, if they'd rather stay out of the app, CC them on reminder emails; they can mark something booked or say "not now" right from their inbox, no login required.

Does Checkup read my calendar?

Only on your phone, and only when you ask it to suggest appointment times. It reads free/busy from the calendars already on your device — iCloud, Google, Outlook — and nothing about your events leaves the phone. The only thing we ever receive is the time windows you choose to send. There's no cloud calendar linking and never a login prompt for it.

How does "book it for me" work?

For vets, home services, and auto shops, you can hand the reminder to us. You pick a few times that work, we ask for a callback number, and a real person phones the provider and books inside your windows. You watch progress in the app, and when it's booked the reminder flips to scheduled on its own and a calendar invite lands in your inbox.

Doctors and dentists aren't included yet — human health bookings need a different kind of care, and we'd rather do it right than do it soon.

What happens to the photo when I scan a vet record?

It's read and then discarded. The photo and the text pulled from it are processed in memory and never stored or logged. The only thing saved is the rows you approve after reviewing them — and you can fix a date or skip a line before anything is written. Scanning is for pet records only for now.

Will you text me?

Only if you ask. Text reminders are off by default; you turn them on in Settings, verify your number with a one-time code, and can stop any time by replying STOP or flipping the toggle back off. We never send marketing texts. The full SMS terms are short and worth a read.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Delete all data. It removes every person, pet, reminder, provider, and history you've added, immediately and permanently. If you'd rather we handle it, email hello@trycheckup.app. Our privacy policy covers the rest — no ads, no data sales, no third-party analytics.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone and Android, with the same features on both. Reminder emails work anywhere you read email, so a partner on either platform — or no smartphone at all — can still help.

Something we didn't cover? Ask at hello@trycheckup.app — a person reads it.
